Notre scierie est certifiée PEFC depuis 2013.

Cette certification atteste que notre scierie s’engage à avoir des pratiques de gestion forestière durable et garantit une traçabilité de nos grumes.

La marque PEFC est un véritable engagement éco-responsable.

caractéristique des essences

douglas

Bois léger et tendre aux fibres larges lui procurant une très bonne résistance mécanique.

pin

Bois dur, lourd et résistant. Le pin possède une bonne résistance en compression mais il est en revanche moins elastique pour ce qui est de la flexion.

peuplier

Bois tendre et très léger. Ses fibres longues, son bois moyennement nerveux. Il possède une bonne résistance mécanique compte tenu de son poids et résiste bien à la flexion.

chêne

Bois de chêne travaille peu. Il possède donc une bonne stabilité et est dense, mi-dur et mi-lourd.

C’est un bois régulier, possédant des fibres courtes qui lui permettent une bonne résistance en compression.

châtaignier

Le châtaignier est une bois ayant des propriétés physiques et mécaniques voisines de celles du chêne.

C’est un bois régulier et flexible, généralement plus élastique que celui du chêne mais souvent moins adhérent et fissile (capacité à se fendre).
